At Rainbow House, we specialise in working with autistic children, teens and young adults, ADHD and a variety of neurodiversity such as Dyslexia and Pathological Demand Avoidance.

We at the Rainbow House understand the issues and challenges that you are facing. We have a unique toolbox of techniques, developed over the last eighteen years by our team of autistic and ADHD specialists, to help provide targeted and specialized assistance, delivered in a way that can be easily understood and integrated into everyday life.  Understanding more about memory differences, why anxiety and anger can be such issues, how to manage meltdowns, as well as helping provide easily understood and time efficient strategies for teachers can make the world of difference to yourself, your child and your family. We provide inclusive practice regardless of culture, gender and sexuality. We used Rainbow House to support our ability to parent our very complex young man! He was diagnosed with ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, Anxiety and oppositional behaviours. Our therapist was amazing – they helped us understand his behaviours which allowed us to parent more successfully. Both he and I learnt anxiety strategies and tools to help with his diagnoses. They helped the school understand his difficulties too and they acted as advocates to help us understand our funding rights. Our therapist listened to us and was able to provide supports that worked for our family.

We have been clients of Sarah Jardine at Rainbow House for the past 14 years after her being recommended by another family. Initially we engaged in RDI as an intervention. Sarah guided us through RDI with success's we could only dream of! Sarah has a deep understanding of autism, and gave us insights and techniques enabling us to genuinely connect with our child. As the years have progressed our sessions with Sarah have been more CBT in nature. Sarah is highly knowledgeable, personable, professional and honest. We can highly recommend her to families who want to arm themselves with what to do to help their child.
My daughter has been seeing one of the therapists at Rainbow House for some time now. I cannot praise Rainbow House highly enough. The staff are friendly, patient and welcoming and my daughter loves coming in for sessions. I have noticed a huge change in her emotional regulation and behaviour and only wish we had made contact sooner. I am regularly updated with progress and given tools so that I can help support her at home. Highly recommend.
